How long does it take to make Strolz custom-fit ski boots?
A typical fitting takes between 2-3 hours; you can leave with boots in hand and can ski in them the next day, 12 hours later.
Can I ski on my new Strolz boots the same day as my fitting?
No, the injected foam needs to cure for 12 hours before skiing in the boots.
What makes Strolz boots custom?
Each component of the Hannes-Strolz boot can be customized to give you a one-of-a-kind boot. Starting with the selection process, we choose the correct shell and liner construction for your foot type and skier type. Using a replica of your foot made from a wooden and cork last, we can stretch the outer plastic shell to exactly match your anatomy. We select one of our 9 custom liner configurations before injecting the inner bladder with foam. We use a prefabricated footbed that will be custom fit to your foot during the foaming process where we use your feet as the mold to create your unique inner boot.

My feet can get really cold in ski boots. Are Strolz boots warm?
Cold feet in an off-the-shelf ski boot are often the result of a poor circulation. Because off-the-shelf boots do not always fit well "hot spots" or pressure points can restrict blood flow to the feet. This makes them cold. Often, the custom fitting process eliminates “hot spots” and allows good blood circulation, making your feet warmer. If you still have cold feet after custom fitting process, we can install a boot heaters. We sell Hottronic heaters in our shop, starting at $349.
I have a really long foot. What is the biggest size that Strolz boots can accommodate?
Our Largest boot is a size 32, this can fit up to a Men’s US size 14. We have the ability to stretch the boot in width but are limited in our ability to stretch the toe longer.
What sizes do you carry?
We carry shell sizes 23.0- 32.0.
How exact is your boot sizing?
We are the only ski boot company that builds molds for most half sizes. Because of this, the Strolz boot doesn't sacrifice performance for comfort.
What if I can’t fit into something you have in stock?
If we do not have a liner or shell that will work for your foot or calf, we do have the ability to special order a liner and shell from the Hannes-Strolz Factory in Lech, Austria. There is an additional fee ranging between $200-$700. The lead time is up to 10 weeks depending on the time of year. If you think you may need a specially made liner or shell, make sure to contact the shop before making your appointment.
